Communities hail Okomu’s CSR projects

Host communities of Okomu Oil Palm in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, yesterday, hailed the firm for responding to their needs under her Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) programmes.

The host communities, numbering 29, scored the firm high during a training programme for host/neighbouring communities organised by Okomu Oil Palm in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Representative of Ekpan community, Alfred Osifo, expressed appreciation to the firm for responding to the needs of their community members following the sinking of a borehole, among others, to provide portable water as well as improve living standards of the people.

Members of various host communities, including a former Edo State Commissioner for Special Duties, Iyase Ogbemudia, appealed for a symbiotic relationship between the firm and host communities.

Delivering a lecture on the topic, “Approaches on Corporate/Community Relations, Community Relations Consultant, Mr. Kingsley Erinmwionghae, solicited cooperation and cordial working relationship with host communities and the firm to attract more development.
