In an effort towards ensuring that all stakeholders are abreast with the practice pertaining to the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)certification which is due to hold in October, the Health, Safety and Environment Department recently held a refresher (training) RSPO for internal stakeholders.
During this meeting, Dr Hefer stressed the importance of the RSPO certification to the company and said all internal stakeholders need to work together to ensure that the company obtains this international certification.
HSE manager, Mr Mikle George told those present at the training session that the aim of the training was to update them on the last mock RSPO audit and areas where actions are needed to be taken.
In a separate presentation, HSE Officers took the participants through RSPO principles, criteria, and indicators. Also the findings of the mock audit, identified gaps and action plans that still needed to be adequately closed before the audit in October.
